I am learning to sew again. This machine is very basic, but not more than I need right now. The instructions that came with the machine are easy to understand. It is very easy to set up and to use.

I purchased a top-name brand machine a couple years ago and have been a frustrated sew-er ever since! It had all the bells and whistles, but I could never get the tension just right among other little annoyances. So I purchased this machine, and I couldn't be happier. It is definitely basics only, but it immediately produced a perfect stitch and got the job done right. I would highly recommend this machine if you don't need fancy stitches. My only issue with it is that you can't see the bobbin, so you can't tell when you're running out of that thread. But overall, excellent for the price.

This machine is great. It has everything my daughter and I need, AND is easy to use. The price couldnt be better either! I did have some reservations at first about the thread jamming as stated in earlier reviews. We have had some thread jamming issue with the bobbins while learning the machine, but had also experienced that on my mothers very expensive machine. It was always easy to make right. The directions are simple and straightforward. As always, buying through Overstock is a delight. If you are looking for a quality sewing machine at a great price look no further!
